The AXS community came together at Park MGM Resort & Casino in Las Vegas with a star-studded comeback performance of AXS’ annual client conference, Insight 2022, with 2 full days of welcoming new clients, learning about the latest AXS capabilities and having the most fun we’ve had together in 3 long years.

And what a family it is. AXS has grown considerably in both brand recognition and market share over the last few years by leading the industry with innovative solutions and unwavering service to support every client throughout the pandemic. 225 attendees, clients, partners and staff, some who have been with us for 15 years, some as little as 15 weeks, were in attendance to take it all in. Stadiums, festivals, independent venues, amphitheaters and multi-day special events converged on Las Vegas for one of the best family reunions in years. Through the copious amounts of networking and sharing of best practice it was undeniable, the power and the fire that is the AXS family. We came together to get better and far exceeded any expectations anyone could have had in bringing so many industry experts and trailblazers together.
AXS Insight came back with a bang and delivered the strongest program in its 6-year history. AXS Chief Operating Officer, Tom Andrus kicked off Day 1 with a quick timeline of how we got here (the shutdown, the shift and the restart) while officially welcoming the Festival division to the AXS party. Up next, attendees got the very first look at the newest capabilities every client can look forward to receiving in the coming months. You told AXS what you needed, and we are delivering. From the announcement of our new way to create and manage inventory through APEX, to the new data visualization platform, AXS IQ, each slide gleamed with a taste of how these tools will change the way we do business.
New to the program – more from experts like you! Insight attendees were given a look from the inside out with 2 client panels:
- Backstage AXS: Ticketing & Decision Making moderated by Rob Sine, AXS Chief Revenue Officer, featured Pabst Theater Group, Opry Entertainment Group and the world’s oldest honkytonk, Billy Bob’s Texas, exploring how and why they chose to partner with AXS during the most difficult time in entertainment (and ticketing) history.
- State of the Industry moderated by AXS President & CEO, Bryan Perez, with industry leaders from First Avenue, UFC and Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo discussing topics such as resale, legislation and other back-to-business items that keep our ticketing leaders up at night.
- Dean Dewulf, SVP – Music division, brought the rock & roll to the stage in a 1:1 interview with Spiegelworld founder Ross Mollison, who pulled back the curtain on the method behind the psychedelic, entertainment experience Spiegelworld brings to Las Vegas with their 3 resident shows and themed restaurant, Superfrico.
16 Product breakout sessions across 3 independent tracks (ticketing, marketing & data) were met by standing room only audiences and lauded for their functionality with clients organically stepping up and, in some cases, serving as guest presenters boasting how AXS capabilities have made it easier for them to do business and sell more tickets.
As ticketing is the heart and soul of Insight, periphery access & social topics affect every client in some way shape or form. Danielle Rose, Director of Development for Art-Reach & ADA expert shared a thoughtful and insightful look at opportunities available to you to change the world through a radical Service First mentality followed by AEG’s Jae Requiro carrying the torch to continue making diversity, equity and inclusion relevant in all scenarios.
The Food & the Fun!
From magic cards and covid-friendly beer pong to fresh Mediterranean and spicy Mexican, the culinary team at Park MGM, led by Michelin star chefs, Travis Leo and Jonathan Manglicot, delivered one delicious adventure after the next (and an endless supply of guacamole) through a specially curated menu to ensure there was something for everyone.
AXS clients celebrated coming together with a killer, long overdue party with none-other than our friends at Superfico by Spiegelworld. Gourmet pizza, fresh pulled mozzarella, psychedelic art and break-dancing penguins.
