Two consecutive performances at one venue is big deal for any music artist. But for country megastar Garth Brooks, two shows simply weren’t enough to match the hype for his World Tour stop at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Not even four, five or six shows could match the demand for tickets to his first shows back in Denver in 18 years.
Earlier this year, Brooks announced he would have two Denver show dates – March 20 and 21 – at the Pepsi Center. Shortly after tickets went on sale on Friday, Jan. 16, those initial two shows sold out within a matter of minutes. In response, theAXS Ticketing platform, in partnership with Altitude Tickets, quickly added another seven shows to the lineup, powering a record-shattering 140,000 tickets sold for a total of nine shows. As a result, Brooks nearly tripled his previous Denver ticket sale record and now holds the title for most tickets sold by an artist with consecutive shows at one venue in Colorado.
Not only does this record-setting achievement demonstrate the overwhelming popularity of Garth Brooks, but also the agility, support and value of the AXS Ticketing platform for an event of this magnitude.
