Like many in his role, Greg Keel, Assistant Athletic Director of Ticket Operations/Annual Fund at University of South Alabama, is responsible for driving ticket sales and donations across a variety of athletic programs. With big goals to achieve in the coming years, he realized that his department needed better, more advanced tools in place to move the fan experience forward.

“We were looking for a ticketing system that would provide us with improved functionality from an operations standpoint, while also enhancing our great customer service approach,” said Keel. “Our checklist included the ability for fans to manage their tickets online and forward tickets to friends and clients, payment plan options for season ticket purchasers, and the integration of ticketing and fundraising into one solution. After a lengthy review process and talking to some of my peers at other schools, we knew that the AXS Ticketing platform was the best option for our program.”

The AXS Ticketing platform’s ability to provide a convenient ticketing experience to fans was a key selling point for South Alabama.  As Keel mentioned, the university can sell and deliver tickets to fans online, create targeted offers for donors, students and fans, and offer multiple payment plan options for season ticket holders. Keel was also impressed by the platform’s CRM capabilities and its unification of ticketing and donor/priority points data.

“Our primary focus is to get tickets into the hands of our growing fan base, but to do that, we needed a system that would deliver superior customer service and offerings,” said Keel. “We believe that the AXS Ticketing platform will allow us to better track important information about our audience, in addition to giving them plenty of options when it comes to buying and managing their tickets.”

Recently, South Alabama launched the AXS Ticketing platform for the upcoming 2015-16 basketball season. It is the third Sun Belt Conference school to join the growing list of colleges and universities that have selected the AXS Ticketing platform.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how this system helps us grow one year, two years and five years from now,” said Keel. “We’ve now improved areas that were impacting our ticket sales efforts, and I’m confident that we have a solution to help us meet our goals.”
